The 15-20 Hospital is the French lead public hospital for ophthalmology and the fight against vision pathologies. A hospital with national status and university teaching, bringing together the best medical and care teams and providing dedicated care for vision diseases.
The 15-20 national hospital is entirely dedicated to treating pathologies affecting vision: cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retina, glaucoma, corneal transplant, eyelids, uveitis, tumors, keratoconus ...
The care offer is built around three specialized centers: glaucoma, cornea, and retina, complementing the ophthalmology consultation centers. In addition to receiving ophthalmological emergencies, the hospital offers care for most ophthalmological pathologies, whether medical, surgical, or neuroophthalmological. An internal medicine service completes this range of care.
Entirely dedicated to ophthalmologic surgery, 9 rooms are fitted with the latest surgical equipments. One room is dedicated to emergencies 24 hours a day. Nearly 25,000 surgical procedures are performed annually, of which almost 88% are performed on an outpatient basis. The hospital has also the most modern equipment for refractive surgery, treating myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
A technical platform equipped with the best machines and biomedical tools for surgical excellence completes this palette: ophthalmology-biology laboratory, neuroimaging and radiology department, and internal pharmacy.
